thoughts and feels and thoughts and feels [userpic]
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

My computer keeps bleeping for no apparent reason, though I'm sure it has one... I have pretty much decided that this computer is in fact sentient. One, it does not lock up nearly as often as I'm told anything running Win2000 should. Two, it usually un-suspends itself and starts to whir merrily whenever I come back into the room.

So how would my computer have become sentient? I thought the other day that Art is that which cannot be understood, not even by the creator. How can it be that a creator cannot understand their own work? What is that unfathomable thing that graces Art? Maybe it could be called a spirit. If Art has a spirit, is it then alive? Is the spirit of Art mortal? Is it particular to each work? Or is Art a single great and all-encompassing spirit which inhabits any things it chooses?

Is, then, Art anything or the only thing that humans create which is then alive? Is Art any object that is inanimate and yet living?

If so, it stands to reason that my computer has become Art. Hmm. Interesting.

I made a calendar today. ::proud:: I keep having to change it 'cos I keep thinking of other things I must do... Nonetheless, I'm proud. :)
