things I thought.

I have gained a lot of faith in my ideas over the past while (maybe year or so).

As I was walking back across the Quad just now, I was contemplating ways to reorganize jobs for Music Fest - like instead of having signups for someone to police every room plus one hall monitor for the whole building, you could have one person per two rooms and then one person per hallway. Then you could stagger performance times to help make that more feasible (not that anyone ever sticks to their schedule, so what does it matter really?) Plus, that would (maybe) help with congestion in the halls.

Or is it feasible to only have like only the next 3 solos/ensembles performing in the hallway at a time? You could table off the front entryway of the Con and have people come up and register, sort of, and not go up until the next people have come down.

See - not long ago, I'd've written all these off as impossible or useless. But now I don't see why it'd be such a problem to make them work. (this entry is supposed to be self-reflection, not a critique of how music fest is run. It's been run the same way for *ages*, and it works pretty well.)

On another note, SAI made a fat wad today. We sold EVERYTHING - 48 dozen donuts (or dognuts, if you ask Stephanie), all our water and soda plus an extra soda trip. We R00000le!
