why yes, i *do* like the sound of my own voice [userpic]

A strange and lagging day.

Took a nap which helped a lot at the time but is wearing thin now. Opera cut short by egress to Hebrew. Was just as well... every time they do that scene, I am hit with this overwhelming feeling that I'm seeing something I shouldn't be. And I simply cannot watch it. I either look at the floor or stare into the middle distance.

Bits of silliness in Hebrew but also finally indulged the desire to curl up in the fetal position and yell "NO!!". Hebrew makes me smile.

Maybe will go write questions for Science.

"FOR SCIENCE!" as TMBG say.

Though this means bearding the Christina in her den. I may never escape. Egads!

Current Mood: blar.
Current Music: Volunteers! We need volunteers!...

Hebrew is a bit of a silly language. it definitely deserves the fetal position as far as i'm concerned.

Heh. ;)

It seems that many people think students of Hebrew must be quite mad.

However, in high school I made up a rudamentary cipher based on Hebrew writing form (right to left with vowel points) that transliterated from Greek characters. Was still English, albeit barely recognizeable.

I thought this might predispose me towards study of real Hebrew. Apparently I as wrong.

You mean...

...Hebrew isn't someone gargling that liqid latex tool covering compound? Prefer Yiddish myself. Much better for muttering awfully naughty things in.

Re: You mean...

I've yet to be convinced, frankly.
