We had a good meeting. Thera, Amy, Susan, Lesley, Reggie, and me. Really genuinely happy to be in a room with all of them, though this is I think our lowest turnout for a meeting yet. It made me smile. :) So did playing Crash Team Racing. :D

This weekend: "A Night at the Freddies", whatever the crap Freddies are. Fayette music boosters put together a variety show (...that took THREE AND A HALF HOURS ::dies::) - there were 5 or 6 acts, then they would auction a pie and a cake, repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat, and they sold concessions and raffle tickets, and when the whole thing was over they had to have had at least $3000. Not bad for one night. w00t to your music boosters, tho next year... can we only have maybe 20 acts instead of THIRTY TWO? 20 would have been plenty. I think I can say there were 12 acts I could have lived without. But there were a lot of really good ones too - guitar tapping and the guy who played the Toccata; and there were a few with adorable little kids in them (Eli sang When I'm 64, and he actually *sang* it.) There was a really pretty good trio - 2 guitars and 2 singers - a few of their harmonies were off, but they sounded awesome. 18 String was good tho needs some more chord variation. Then Skip and Kirby and the pianist and the guitarist and... maybe someone else, I don't remember... finished off with Lionel Ritchie's "Lady", and we all went out for ice cream.
